The Iwate Museum of Art exhibits Kishio Suga works from its collection

Kishio Suga: Uncertain Void
Iwate Museum of Art, Morioka, Japan
October 3–November 24, 2024

This exhibition presents an expansive overview of Kishio Suga’s art making, featuring installations, assemblages, and works on paper from the 1970s to the 2000s.

In 2005, The Iwate Museum of Art, located in Suga’s birthplace of Morioka, held a solo exhibition titled Uncertain Void, for which Suga created three large-scale installations in the museum's indoor and outdoor spaces. Nearly 20 years later, the museum is presenting these three site-specific works once more. This exhibition follows the museum’s expansive survey, Kishio Suga: The Existence of “Things” and the Eternity of “Site,” held in 2021.
