Major installation acquired by the National Galleries of Scotland

Following the conclusion of Karla Black and Kishio Suga: A New Order at the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art in Edinburgh (October 22 – February 19, 2017) the National Galleries of Scotland is acquiring Interconnected Spaces (2016), the centrepiece of Suga's presentation in the exhibition.

Suga initially conceived the installation specially for Room 8, the largest space on the museum's ground floor, but its scale is adaptable to smaller and larger spaces.

The museum has also acquired a five-panel photograph of Space-Order (1974), an important example of Suga's fieldwork that was also featured in the exhibition.

The exhibition catalogue is available for purchase here.
