Kishio Suga will have three solo exhibitions in fall 2019

Each Modern, Taipei

Suga’s first solo exhibition in Taiwan will feature a new installation in the downstairs gallery and assemblages from various decades in the upstairs galleries.
September 11 – October 26, 2019

Gallery Saiensu, Morioka
Suga will create a new site-specific installation for this gallery in his birthplace city of Morioka, where he has exhibited his work since the 1980s.
September 30 – October 12, 2019

Tokyo Gallery + BTAP, Tokyo
The influential gallery that has given Suga 15 solo exhibitions since 1976 is re-presenting three installations he made for their space in 1994, 1996, and 2000.

His work will also be included in this important group exhibition

DECODE: Events & Materials — The Work of Art in the Age of Post-industrial Society
Museum of Modern Art, Saitama, Japan
September 14 – November 4, 2019

Important and rare photographs, sketches and catalogues from Nobuo Sekine’s archive will be at the center of this group show which includes Mono-ha artists such as Kōji Enokura, Susumu Koshimizu, Lee Ufan, and Kishio Suga, as well as other key figures from the 1960s and 1970s.
